Welcome Back to Another Academic School Year at Sandham!
Black History Day
Tuesday the 30th September saw Sandham's first 'Black History Day', All pupils and staff took part in various activites throughout the day to promote a better understanding of the black community. From Will Smith to Muhammad Ali - the pupils certainly had a good selection of canidates to choose from!
Activities on the day included; Dancing, Poietry, Singing, and Tie-Dying. The Multimedia projects where so very popular, these included News Broadcasts and Interactive Powerpoint shows. Keep your eyes open around the school for displays of the work that was carried out by the pupils.

Coming Soon - Pink Day
October the 24th...
This year Sandham once again will be taking part in the annual 'WEAR IT PINK DAY' - supporting the 'Breast Cancer' Charity. All pupils and staff are encouraged to wear pink! Please remember that this is a charitable event, and the £ 1.00 donatation from your child will be donated in full, to the Charity.

Parkhurst Forest was recorded in the Doomsday Book as a royal hunting forest, which at that time extended as far north as Cowes, hence the village name of Northwood.
